…1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Your job on this earth may be to speak to customers all day, cook meals for a living, nurse people back to health, repair computers, teach, or perhaps you are a student… whatever it is that you are doing right at this moment, do you do it for God? And when it’s a good day and things go smooth and you’ve accomplished what you set out to do; do you give God the glory? Have you given thanks to God for the skills and gift he has provided you with? Have you thanked Him for the ability to learn and provide for your family? Well, we should.
God equips us with unique talents and gifts. I am guilty of complaining about work and not giving my all. We all feel that way at times and don’t give 100%. What’s the point in doing anything in life if we can’t utilize our skills and talents and enjoy it? Well there is no point in doing anything without passion, love, and joy! There are people on this earth who are disabled and wish they could provide for their families or do things for themselves. We need to remember to give glory to God in all we do.
There is a purpose and we may not always see that purpose, but what we can see is the opportunity to let others see what God is really like through us! And when they like what they see, we can make sure to let them know who taught us to live like that.
